The Raider Regional Transit is a local bus system. It is not only for Shippensburg University students but local residents as well. It is sponsored by the Shippensburg University Student Association, Shippensburg Borough, and Shippensburg Township. Services are provided Monday through Saturday following the University’s academic year.

* Free to Shippensburg University Students and Staff (must have ID)
* Free to senior Citizens with Commonwealth ID Card
* Only $1.00 for each one-way trip.
* Children under the age of 5 ride free (must have an adult present)

The Cumberland-Dauphin-Harrisburg Transit Authority was organized 1973 after the Harrisburg Railways was ending. It was created by the Cumberland County and Dauphin County Commissioners and the City of Harrisburg. It was developed to provide residents with public transportation throughout Cumberland- Dauphin and Harrisburg areas.

Route 81: Shippensburg K-Mart, Newville Park & Ride, Carlisle Park & Ride, and Downtown Harrisburg.
